2019 Tournament Schedule

On April 13th & 14th, our team successfully competed in the New York State Science Olympiad for the 4th consecutive year. Overall, we earned 27th place out of 39 teams. A special congratulations to the individuals who earned medals in their events: Duct Tape Challenge (5th), Hovercraft (3rd) and Mystery Architecture (1st!).  In about one month, we will start preparing for next year's SciO season!

We will be competing in several SciO tournaments this year.

December 8th: Long Island Science Olympiad. This combined Division B & C tournament will be the first competition experience for many students. We are expecting to learn a lot, and find our weak points to work on over the winter. We are looking forward to seeing some of our alumni who are now competing on teams in high school!

February 16th: Cornell Science Olympiad. For the third consecutive year, we are fortunate to be able to travel to Ithaca on an overnight trip to compete in this combined Division B & C tournament. We hope to once again visit the Sterling Mining Museum on the way - stay tuned for details!

March 2nd: NYC Regional Science Olympiad. This is our most important competition of the year - there are only 19 events, and we hope to earn medals in all of them. We must succeed here to qualify for State tournament in April.
